Professional Mesh Integration Education
Learn to serve the clients traditional extensions can't.
Professional Mesh Integration training for hairstylists who want to work confidently with thinning-hair and hair-loss clients — the assessment, foundation, placement, tension, customization, and judgment behind the method, taught by Carissa Maness.
The Client Problem
You've had that client.
She sits down, and within the first few minutes of the consultation you can see it — thinning at the part, a hairline that isn't what it used to be, hair that's been through more than a color and cut can fix. Maybe you did what you could with a traditional extension method. Maybe you had to be honest that it wasn't going to work, and referred her elsewhere.
Hair-loss and thinning-hair clients aren't a niche you can improvise your way into. They need a stylist who understands why traditional extension methods can make thinning hair worse, who knows how to look at a scalp and make a real judgment call, and who can have an honest, confident consultation instead of an apologetic one. This training exists for stylists ready to build real, defensible expertise in hair-loss and thinning-hair integration work.
The Method
A technical skill set, not a shortcut.
Mesh Integration is a non-surgical hair replacement solution that blends real hair into a client's existing hair using a breathable mesh base — built for clients who traditional extension methods can't safely or effectively serve, including many clients experiencing hair loss up to roughly 70%.
Doing it well takes more than one technique. It takes real assessment, thoughtful foundation and base design, controlled tension, customization to the individual scalp and hair pattern, and the judgment to know when to proceed, when to modify the plan, and when a client needs something this service can't provide. This training treats Mesh Integration as a professional skill set — not a shortcut, and not one-size-fits-all.
Is This Training For You?
Built for stylists already behind the chair.
This is for you if:
- You're a licensed hairstylist or extension professional already working behind the chair.
- You've turned away, or under-served, a client because a traditional extension method didn't fit her hair loss or thinning pattern.
- You're willing to practice repeatedly — mannequin work first, then real model work — before calling yourself proficient.
- You want both the technique and the judgment behind it, not just a video library.
This may not be for you if:
- You expect to watch a few videos and be proficient immediately.
- You're not ready to submit mannequin and model work and revise based on feedback.
- You're only interested in the technique, not the consultation or client-care side of the work.
- You're looking for the fastest possible new revenue line rather than a genuine specialty.
How We Teach
Observe. Assess. Proceed with intention.
Hair-loss clients deserve more than a technique — they deserve a stylist who knows when to proceed, when to modify the plan, and when the right answer is a referral to a physician instead of an appointment. This training teaches a judgment-first approach: how to observe what's actually happening with a client's hair and scalp, how to have an honest consultation about what the service can and can't do, and how to recognize the situations that call for a referral rather than a booking. We're hairstylists, not doctors — a responsible part of this work is knowing exactly where that line is, and this training is built on that principle from the first lesson.
Curriculum
What you'll learn
The curriculum moves from principles to full technique to the business of running this as a real service — organized into three areas.

Maintenance, refit & removal
How to care for a system over its lifetime — routine maintenance, removal, and refit.
Consultation & client business
How to run a real consultation, talk through candidacy and expectations honestly, and think about this service as its own category in your business — not just an add-on to your existing menu.

Meet Your Educator
Carissa Maness
Carissa has spent over 14 years behind the chair and 9 years teaching other stylists, including running her own hair-extension company and owning a salon. She developed her approach to Mesh Integration through real client work with thinning-hair and hair-loss guests — a specialty she built behind her own chair, not a certification she collected.
She first taught the method in person in early 2024, and built this course so stylists anywhere could learn it in the same close, detailed way — filmed and produced with real production care, because she's seen how much poor footage and thin detail hold other online courses back.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Does Mesh Integration work with other methods?
Yes. Mesh Integration is taught alongside compatible attachment methods, so you can adapt the approach to what a specific client's hair and scalp actually need.
Do I need prior experience with hair extensions to take this course?
No prior experience is required for this online class. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced stylist, this course is designed to take you step-by-step through the process — though having some familiarity with extensions or other hair techniques will be helpful. (Our in-person classes require prior beaded-weft experience; that requirement applies only to the in-person format, not this online course.)
What is Mesh Integration, and how does it differ from traditional extensions?
Mesh Integration is a non-surgical hair replacement solution that blends real hair into a client's existing hair using a breathable mesh, giving a fuller, natural look without surgery or invasive treatment — built specifically for clients that traditional extension methods can't safely or effectively serve.
What kind of clients is Mesh Integration suitable for?
Clients with thinning hair or hair loss, especially those who aren't good candidates for traditional extensions. Some scalp and hair-loss conditions call for a referral to a physician before any service — this training covers how to recognize those situations.
Do I need additional help after my class?
You'll have personalized feedback on your mannequin and model work as you progress, plus access to a community of stylists working at your stage once you move into the advanced group.
I want to take this class with a friend — do we both need to sign up?
Yes — the course supports training alongside a partner, but each person needs their own paid access.
